We thought we were sleeping in this morning. It was 5:30 AM when we got up naturally. We are now in a habit. Cool. We took our time getting breakfast in and preparing for our surfing lesson. Met a very nice and talkative cleaning lady. She was surprised how early we were up and had to work around us in the kitchen area. She's middle eastern and does this gig to support school which is a social worker track. She is especially into empowering women to get into the workforce. With her many languages, she will be awesome at it. Just bursting with vibrant energy. Really nice to see. We were picked up by the owner of Get Wet Surf school. https://getwetsurf.com/. Nice dude, quick paper work and were at the beach. It's a kinda secret spot only the locals really know. We put on a blue "Get Wet" top grabbed a board and headed to the beach. After a 20 minute dry lesson we hit the water. There were 2 guides who assisted the noobs like us. For the first 30 minutes the guides assisted with placement and pushoff's into the wave. The last 30 minutes they assisted with aiming, encouraging us to look back and paddle. It was a blast. They taught a 4 step get up process. It was hard since we were in very close to the shore with little time. I skipped that process and simply went for the jump up. It was actually kinda easy. The guide we had reviewed every attempt and offered suggestions which were really helpful. Michelle did great too. Many of the participants we impressed. Sweet. We were asked to bring no valuables to the beach so no camera :-) I improvised. We were baked from the exercise and sun. After lunch we crashed hard. In the evening we went back to shoot the area. Great day.
