This town is literally a surfers paradise. Huge beach with amazing white sand. Really good surf almost all the time. Really hip town with coolness everywhere. Totally chill. People are in serious shape here too. Not much concern for the sun surprisingly. We got to our snorkel location really early and had plenty of time to hang out. Got a nice coffee (twice) upgraded some t=shirts, donated some old clothes and hit the snorkel joint. Grat place
http://www.byronbaydivecentre.com.au/snorkel-trips/ Typical paperwork, intro, bus ... This outfit though brings the boat with another vehicle for each group. They can't keep the boat on the beach or water so it's in and out multiple times daily. Wow. It's kinda fun helping drag the boat in and hoping on. The location is a 5 minute buzz from the beach. Epic spot with plenty of life. The water was cool and the sun was covered a bit. 5 mm wet suits did not really help but it was still amazing. Perhaps more swimming would have helped. Found an amazing vegan place for lunch
