Time to head south - Rainforest to Etty Bay

It rained a bit last night but not enough for a rain forest.  After a quick breakfast we headed out for adventure.  The owner of Lynchaven showed had earlier drew out her favorite day hikes and placed to see.  We headed north to the first and worked our way down.  She warned us to not go near or in any ocean water.  This is because of croc's, big ones.  I'm amazed at how may people casually ignore the warnings and put themselves and their children at risk.  Natural selection at it's finest I suppose.  The rainforest here is incredible, despite being 4 months without a decent amount of rain.  You can see the dryness in the absence of river water and dried swamp land.  When it does rain here it normally rains very hard.  So hard that there is a good chance the lower lands will flood.  Many many bridges have flood water indicators so you can determine if your vehicle can make it through.  Lot's of vehicles here have high clearance and snorkels.  We had neither and I often wondered how fun it would be to be pinned down with non passable roads for a few days. Either way after a bunch of hikes we decided to get a jump on heading south.  The ferry timing was fortunate and we drove right through to Etty Bay https://www.facebook.com/ettybaycaravanpark/  This place was awesome.  One night was once again not enough.

Cassowary's are prevalent here
These huge bird eat fruit whole and poop out the seeds all over the place.  They are excellent farmers
We saw them only in the zoo but they are so prevalent there are crossing signs all over the place
