Yay it's Friday

After a really long week.  We are all survey ready.  No more training and the entire team is able to do proper scientific surveys.  The morning was beautiful with a moon and sunrise before breakfast.  Most of the group headed into Suva after lunch.  There are only 6 volunteers who stayed back.  A pretty impressive rain storm blew in just before they left.  Luckily the rain let up for a few minutes while they departed.  I think they got soaked on the trip either way as Suva is actually a rain forest.  Oh well, I hope only their clothes got wet.  I'm sure we will hear their stories when they get back Sunday.  KT went with them.  Sure she will be fine.

This is the view from our common area in the morning

Here is KT, Emil and Aggie enjoying a nice morning chat.

Within 1 minute of this shot it rained like crazy.  It half filled our water container.

Instead of hiding during the rain.  I went shirtless and washed myself.  Our groundwater is brackish or salty so the sticky feeling never leaves.  People thought I was crazy but I was really clean.  I even rinsed a bunch of clothes.  Jack gave up walking around half soaked in his rain gear and grabbed a chair embracing the moment with me

I ended the day as a shore marshal.
The shore marshal watches a buoy as divers (or snorkelers swim around)
This time it was in the common area In a comfy chair out of the rain
The cat joined me.  So stressful
