KT and Michelle said no way to another Poonhill climb and slept in. Sarala and I were out and enroute at 5:45. Many even earlier. We hit a traffic jam 1/3 of the way up. No worries, we had time. Many I passed were unprepared for this climb. Words of encouragement to many. We waited atop for 20 minutes until the Sun made it's first 2019 appearance. It was a blast. Sorry I forgot KT's camera. The Nexus 5 sucks in low light. Oh well. I talked with newly made friends on the downward journey towards breakfast. It was cooler Trekking and a few icy spots were seen. We hit the highest Trek point after a while. From there is was quite a bit of down. Kinda crazy amounts actually. I missed going up lol. We enjoyed some natural hot springs on our last big Trek day. Our final day in the mountains was an easy walk to the bus. We arrived 15 minutes before it's departure. Whew. All our stuff was quickly tied to the roof before we had a chance to think. Oh well. It's only 5 hours. The bus was really fun. Mostly happy locals listening to great local music while navigating scary roads. Such friendly, happy people most of whom can climb better than any of us.
