Goodbye Prague - Hello Berlin - June 6–12

It was time to leave Prague behind and head back to Germany.  This time our destination was Berlin.  We wound up with another similar train car and as we expected drunks were everywhere.  A very shy pretty girl asked if out spare seats were reserved and we chatted for hours.  She was kinda nervous to tell us her story at first.  It turns out she is dealing with Cancer and as a nurse and mom, she is pretty stressed out.  I think she felt alot better with assurances of the recoveries and alternatives that exist for her.  It was hard talking at times because the drunks like to take over the spots beside our and were crashing and banging all about.

Even walking to the bathroom was a challenge having to navigate wobbling people.  After leaving us another solo traveler showed up with a cute doggie in a dog carrier.  She was really stressed out as everyone was rejecting her because of the dog.  We had no issues and soon were petting this friendly little beast.  This girl was awesome, totally chill, friendly and helpful.  She knew Germany well and offered all kinds of help.  We all left the train together in Berlin.  When departing the train, some of the drunk girls remembered they left their phone in the cabin.  With thin hallways there is no way to walk past us three with backpacks and dogs in tow.  Silly young girl had to wait.  As we exited the train we saw 1 girl completely passed out having to be carried by her boyfriend.  Silly drunks.

The Berlin train station was amazing.  We planned to take the bus to our Airbnb and it took a little walking and talking to sort out where to get it.  Google maps tries so hard to help you but as it poops the bed sometimes, we had to get clarification from a human.  Once settled on our bus we discovered to bulk of the journey is underground going underneath a huge park called Tiergarten.  Sweet.  Our Airbnb host soon met us and gave us the keys to a really awesome place.  https://goo.gl/maps/45HEbdyjUMZfcb2U8.  Way fanciers than Praque.  Huge nice kitchen.  Massive TV room living room.  The open concept living room led to the bedroom using large sliding doors for privacy.  Outdoor blinds offered partial shade for us.  The room itself did not have enough drapes for light pollution but a little Mcgiver soon had another layer of drapes installed.  Yay dark.  We just had to see this awesome Tiergarten park.

Germans are quite liberal with outdoor bathrooms.  I saw several male outdoor pee areas where they is 0 privacy.  You just stand there in front of the crowd and go.  It was weird.  Walking around our area revealed a massive Mall of Berlin, A huge Sony Store, and soon the sad but fascinating Berlin wall.  Germans really do honour those that dies in their dark past.  Museums, statues, monuments are everywhere.  The Jewish Museum Berlin was outstanding https://www.jmberlin.de/en We have been wanting to show support for Marvels Avengers Endgame for a while.  The Sony Center place had several showings in English.  Sweet, that was fun.  Super loud and only 20 other viewers.  It's really nice being able to buy some popcorn and a beer at a show.  They give you the bottle too.  Wild.  On our last day we squeezed in a visit from our German friend Melanie.  She recommended a great Vegan Italian place.  It was really nice to see her again.  She looked much better and healthier than our earlier visits with her.  Sadly our night with her was out last in Berlin.  We had an early morning train to the Netherlands to catch.  Thanks Germany
