Back to back tours/Fly to Chiang Mai - Phang Nga Bay/James Bond/Kayaks - 6 Islands to Phi Phi - Chiang Mai

It's been a busy few days. We did 2 back to back tours and then flew to Chiang Mai on the third day.

The first trip we booked was called Phang Nga Bay, James Bond Island & Sea Caves Kayaking
https://www.expedia.com/things-to-do/phang-nga-bay-james-bond-island-sea-caves-kayaking-tour.a462492.activity-details.  This trip was awesome.  Large boat and not too crowded.  Sure some of the locations we hit were busy but the sites were worth it.  The highlight had to be to Kayaks through the caves.

Check out the movie.  Sorry there is no sound.

On the next day we did the Full-Day Tour of 6 Islands to Phi Phi with Lunch & Barbecue https://www.expedia.com/things-to-do/full-day-tour-of-6-islands-to-phi-phi-with-lunch-barbecue.a441056.activity-details.  A smaller faster more crowded boat for this one.  We zipped around to busy places, swam, snorkelled and goofed off.  It was fun.

The company provided us with a reasonably priced USB key oft the days  media

Phi Phi Islands DVD

Then sadly it was time to leave Phuket and fly to our new destination, Chiang Mai.  Yay.

Swissotel had a popsicle hotline, cool

Really

A big storm came very close to getting us

This was very close to sunset

Our first tour had a pimped out van

Waiting for the rest of the gang

Walking to the boat

Waking up still from the early rise

Not very crowded, plenty of space for all

A first glimpse of what is coming up

This dude shuttles people to and from this dock
It's a typical South East Asia Long Tail Boat
Typically it's a car motor, transmission and shaft to a prop
Totally manually controlled, cool to watch

This giant slab of rock slid away, nice features

Notice James Bond below, the Man with the Golden Gun
Made this place super famous

Being made of limestone, these structures are slowly dissolving

I knew it would be crazy hot
Bought some light cotton shirt and pants
Shirt was a large, I guess that's a Thai large lol

Strong girl

We noticed this heart on the taxi, nice

The view from their Canoe, a rubber inflatable Kayak

KT had a captain all to herself

Michelle and I shared a ride
This man once was a fisherman before this gig
Super nice guy

This little lagoon is only accessable through a cool 115 metre water cave
A high tide can trap you inside for 4 hours
Keep an eye on the time

Hmm, I wonder how I can live here

The little dudes are climbing fish I believe

Smile

KT goofing off

With a shell

Tour day two
Plastic dock, kinda fun

Someone is having fun

Honda motors dominate here

That's a monkey in the water

That's another monkey

Cat for sale

Nice contrast between old and new

Made famous by The Beach, Maya Bay is closed due to excessive visitors, bummer
Better this way for nature

Wicked wind and slight rain for our last island
It was nice to have the rain wash off the salt

Noticed on our last morning the Swissotel had this nice temple

See ya Phuket, you will be missed

B

Lovely view of the islands we may have seen
They kinda look the same from the air
